5 /5 Elena Mucci: I chose this restaurant to celebrate my 50th birthday and it was beyond all my expectations! The owner Ruzanna went out of her way to ensure smooth running of the party for my 35 guests. Authentic Armenian food was the most delicious and fresh cuisine ever. All my guests were singing her praises whole evening. Many are planning to come back here including myself! The variety of starters, three types of hot meals, plenty of Armenian wine followed by Napoleon birthday cake - made my 50th unforgettable! Thank you dearest Ruzanna, we can’t thank you enough. And many thanks to waiter Andrew and the team for organising tables, ensuring guests had plenty of food and drink and attending to all our needs.

5 /5 Marta Mucci: My mum booked NUR restaurant for her 50th birthday party and it was the most exceptional night! We arrived and the restaurant was beautifully laid out and the staff were so lovely, chatty and helpful with the set up of our cake, place cards etc. and the service all evening was exceptional. The food we ordered was also fantastic, some of the most delicious lamb I’ve ever tried and an incredible array of flavoursome starters! An incredible variety of Armenian food and it was great to be able to sample to many different things. Thank you for making my mums birthday such a special night and I cannot wait to return for more!

4 /5 Maya S: Mixed feelings for this place.. in my view way overpriced for what we got. I liked the cheese and garlic bread. Steak was expensive and despite being ordered as medium rare, it arrived rare. Sides werent great either. Pasta was advertised with king prawns. I got a £12 pasta with the cheapest smallest prawns. Pasta itself was nice but menu was incorrect and I should have been told they replaced the main ingredient for a cheaper alternative. We have decided we are not going to gamble with a dessert. The decor is a different matter. I didnt fancy the attack of colours and styles but there will be others who might like it.. unnecessarily cluttered though. I will not be coming back to this place with so many alternative options around. Price was way too high for the quality of food we got.

5 /5 Jonathan Fordham: Another outstanding lunch experience at this gem of a restaurant, which stands head and shoulders above a raft of others in central Hastings. Decked with style and colour, with vibrant paintings adorning the walls, and a table decor to die for, you might expect the food to perhaps fall short, ordering from the fixed lunch menu, but this was absolutely not the case. A very moreish hummus starter was followed by a pork stew that was sublime. Complete steal at £10.50 for two courses, in such a setting you’d want to put your feet up, kick back, and sip their frothy coffee for the rest of the afternoon listening to the perfectly amplified slow jazz. Relaxed, aesthetic, super friendly and laid back, Nur boasts authentic Armenian cuisine that I imagine you could work your way through over the months and never be disappointed. My only surprise is that it’s not packed, with people hanging from the rafters, and coaches rocking up outside. It even has the feel of an art gallery. As long as Nur is here in Hastings, it will be a fixed star in my galaxy. Highly recommended.
