5 /5 Terranzov Lenin Robinson: I had a great experience at Pongal Express...I ordered the Chicken Kottu, and it was served within 10 minutes ..perfectly cooked and easily the best kottu I’ve had in East London. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary payasam. The staff are super friendly, and the prices are the most affordable compared to other shops in the area. Highly recommend
3 /5 Vinay Gharge: Ordered chicken Biriyani , it came with 2 fried pieces and those were oily, rice was flavourful.
Humayra Chowdhury I ordered the tuna katleesi and mixed mishkaki. Both dishes are oozing with flavour. The food came out very quickly. Would highly recommend this place 10/10.
sanjeev ramanathan Very tasty food and most economical too. We had an array of dishes all were so tatsy, not too oily or salty. More like home cooked food.
Traveler Best food in the town. Reasonable price and good service. Only opens 3 days a week from Friday to Sunday from 9am to 7pm at Gascogine Road and Mondays - Tuesdays at Barking Market. Chicken Tikka and Chip box (Chilli and tamarind sauce with lots of salad on the top) with Tamarind drink is my favourite food only cost £6 (£5 for box and £1 for drink). (Tip: Pls mix a bit water in the Tamarind drink for bit normal task otherwise its bit sugary)
Affy This place is busy. The Mega breakfast should actually be a challenge lol. Top breakfast place, they do Jacket Potatoes too, never tried them tho. The breakfasts are a good size. Omellete was very filling and tasty. Very well cooked.
Raoul First time trying Kurdish cuisine, thoroughly enjoyed it. Style was unique, not the same as Turkish, Persian, or Afghan. Very nice people and great atmosphere. Huge servings. Loved the complimentary lentil soup. Place seemed a little short-staffed, long waits and no menu expalanation. Otherwise, loved it.
