1 /5 Salman Ali: I traveled a long way to visit this restaurant based on the positive social media buzz, but my experience was the complete opposite of what was advertised. To be honest, it was one of the most disrespectful dining experiences I’ve ever had.
The service is deeply exclusionary. My friend and I (Somali and Bengali) were consistently ignored while the owners prioritized serving people from their own community first. Despite us paying ÂŁ50 for our meal, basic requests were flatly denied because they were "too busy," yet they had plenty of time to cater to other specific tables.
The most upsetting part was the blatant rudeness. When it was clear we were dissatisfied with the service, the staff began cursing at us in their native language, assuming we wouldnt understand or simply not caring that they were being offensive.
Summary for future customers:
• The Hype is Fake: Social media doesnt reflect the reality of how they treat outsiders.
• Selective Service: If you arent part of the owners specific community, expect to be treated as a second-class citizen.
• Unprofessional: Cursing at paying customers is unacceptable.
Save your money and go somewhere where your patronage is actually respected. We wont be back. Would recommend Lebanese Grill instead.
