I am soo glad it picked here, we arrived on a Saturday evening though it was busy due to due the airshow, the staff manage to get us seated. The members of staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing, everything was done fresh and on point. Really good for a family of 3. We will definitely be returning next year for another go. Tat We stumbled upon this cute pub whilst driving through the South Downs National Park. It was lovely to dine by the fireplace. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant, and really went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The pub is dog friendly - there were lots of cute well behaved pups around. The pub is very cosy and the menu is more exciting than a regular pub. We had a fish and chips and a banoffee dessert as part of a set menu and both were divine. The fish batter was very light and crispy, and their take on a ‘deconstructed’ banoffee pie really on point. Would recommend and I’m looking forward to return. They also have Long Man Lager on tap which is a bonus.

Samantha Adams We enjoyed a very nice meal whilst we were visiting the vocal area for a couple of nights. We were greeted with a very warm welcome explained the menus and deals that were on offer. Food and drinks were a good high-quality and absolutely delicious i’m glad we’re not local because I don’t think I’d ever cook myself a meal again If this place was on my doorstep.

Kylie Higgins Such a lovely brunch spot. This is our second time having breakfast and both occasions have been fantastic. The service was super friendly and the food was delicious. We had the French toast and the pancakes and they were both superb. Only tiny grumble would be to have some more of the lemon curd with the pancakes because it was so yum!

oliwia ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Open Bakery is, without exaggeration, the best bakery I have ever been to in the UK and I genuinely don’t think anything will ever come close. I lived in Brighton for a year and I was literally living right in front of it, in a flat across the street. It became part of my week and I still think about it all the time. The pastries are so unreal that I don’t even have a single photo… because the second I walked in, I couldn’t even consider taking my phone out. Everything was eaten immediately. That’s how good it was. The atmosphere inside is perfect, warm, cosy, inviting, and just the kind of place that instantly makes you happy. And the staff are genuinely some of the friendliest people ever. It’s not just a bakery, it feels like a little Brighton treasure. They have incredible bread and so many other bakes, but I have to mention my favourite pastry of all time: the chocolate and almond croissant. I am not joking when I say I still dream about it. Flaky, rich, indulgent, perfect in every possible way. I would travel back to Brighton purely to eat it again. I live in the North now, and I swear there is simply nothing up here that compares. And honestly… if Open Bakery would ever ship so far, I will be the first person placing an order 100%! Brighton people don’t realise how lucky they are.
