1 /5 Jerry Sachsen: We ordered via Deliveroo. Have eaten in the cinema and it’s usually great. Delivery was late running and when it finally arrived we couldn’t believe what had been sent. We ordered cheesey fries. The fries were limp, cold and instead of fresh, good quality cheese grated over to melt- they’d taken the chips out and thrown 2 square slabs of cheap plastic slices of cheese over it! Which of course didn’t separate/ melt into burger. So we got limp, cold greasy chips with 2 slabs of cold, cheap cheese- great! The meat burger was burnt and my veggie burger cold with limp old bits of lettuce. It was disgraceful.
What’s even worse is their response. Deliveroo refunded us immediately as we have photos. But we never heard from Spielburger direct to follow up- even via social media which we left review too. I’d be happy to believe it was a crazy 1-off with a staff member taking revenge on them or something it was so bad, but for them to never respond at all shows complete arrogance and lack of customer care. We’d never order with them again. It was so bad. There are much better places in Esher. We now bring our own food into the Everyman too.
