Samantha Gurung Really nice green curry, it tasted really fresh and I was very impressed with the beef sandwich. We tried the fried ice cream for the novelty and were pleasantly surprised, it was still frozen in the inside and tasted really great! The owner was nice and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice quick lunch.

Daniel Chalfon The Ship and Whale is a proper neighborhood pub tucked away on a quiet street in Rotherhithe. Inside you’ll find all the pub classics on the menu, plus a surprisingly solid vegan section — rare for a place this traditional. Beer selection is good, prices are fair, and the crowd is almost entirely locals. No tourist circus, just a cozy, friendly spot where you can settle in and feel like you belong. Exactly what a pub should be.

Rob Good Service, Decent Coffee , Dont buy anything from the hot counter after about 4pm as itll have been sitting there all day in my experience. As expected from the M&S Side of the shop, decent sandwiches and ready meals, a bit pricey but reasonable quality. Fuel is much cheaper elsewhere.

Parveen Naujeer My husband brought me here for a Valentine’s lunch. I was really impressed. The pub is beautiful and dates back to the 16th Century, the pub owner was friendly welcoming and attentive, making sure we enjoyed our food but giving us the space and time to enjoy our experience. Our table and area was cosy and warm; there were no spaces left in the restaurant area but I was really pleased with the window seat we were given which was intimate and provided a good view of the area. Finally the food was the highlight. Absolutely delicious, plentiful and great value for money. I had panko breaded Brie for starter and the most delicious steak and Guinness pie… both were sooo delicious! I would highly recommend this pub and I’ll be happy to come back again in the summer. :)
