3 /5 Jit Sandhu: Popped in for a lunch and maybe went a little too hardcore by choosing to sample the meat platter. It don’t disappoint in terms of size and taste. The roast chicken thigh was crispy and juicy inside along the leg, although the thick breast did get a little dry. The sausage didn’t disappoint in terms of flavour and the liver although tasty was in terms of portion, quite a lot, as it is quite rich. The lamb on the other hand was perhaps too little, but it was tasty and well done, medium to rare. Service was good and atmosphere ticked all the authentic pub vibe queues.

5 /5 IAN HECTOR: Booked last minute. Beautiful London pub. Great greeting from bar staff and then the resturant host. Food piping hot. Main meal beautifully cooked, mince and Guiness pie, with a perfect pastry crust. Thanks to everyone for our evening. Only one tiny tiny request..more samphire!

5 /5 AV F: Dropped by The Alma for Sunday lunch and it was honestly one of the best roasts I’ve had in long time. The meat was cooked beautifully Beef and Lamb, tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The roast potatoes were golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, exactly how they should be. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and light, perfect for soaking up the rich, silky gravy that tied the whole plate together. The sides were just as impressive: creamy cauliflower cheese yum, perfectly seasoned vegetables, and pigs in blankets that were a proper treat. To top it all off, the Bloody Mary’s were spot on , bold, balanced, and nice spicy pickle. The service was amazing too, really welcoming and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. A top-notch Sunday roast , everything you could want and more.

4 /5 Stanley Helinski: It gets crazy busy. The layout doesnt accommodate traffic well. Great local beer and friendly staff. Plenty of TVs. Food is good. I am told the fish and chips is amazing. Large portions. Great local pub. Good crowd.

5 /5 ricky bennici: We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the Alma , started with the excellent scallops then moved on to the main event . The roast was perfect ! Jude our server was brilliant in explaining the menu and helping us pick the best roast for us . We had the pork belly which was great not too fatty , the rump and the sirloin . Also added the cauliflower cheese and the pigs in blankets . The portions were very generous, but it was certainly not quantity over quality. Cant wait to visit again to try some of the other bits on the menu.
