George G This is a lovely Italian restaurant with plenty of seating, as it’s quite a large space. There’s also outdoor dining, which must be buzzing in the summer. It’s located on Stroud Green Road, just a short stroll from Finsbury Park station. The atmosphere is great, with cool Italian tunes playing, and the staff are friendly. I was recommended the scialatielli ai straccetti di manzo, a homemade pasta with thin strips of beef. It was absolutely delicious, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a pasta dish that’s full of meat and flavour. There’s a great selection of alcohol — wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails — and they even serve Italian ice creams. There are toilets at the back. This place works well for dining solo, in groups, on date nights, or with family.

Angela VL Beautifully decorated with a sleek, modern design and a clean, open view of the bar area. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience pleasant. We tried a few starters, honestly, they were underwhelming, so I’d suggest going for the larger plates, which might be their stronger point. Prices are reasonable for the setting, and overall it’s worth a visit.

Wild Izakaya - City of London

Olga Artjomova Wild Izakaya is one of those rare places where you start by ordering ā€œa few thingsā€ and somehow end up trying half the menu, cause everything is that good. The aubergine was smoky, silky and perfectly glazed - the kind of dish you keep thinking about the next day. The sushi? Incredibly fresh, balanced, clean flavours, no overload, just precision. Every plate we tried had depth, texture and real attention to detail. Nothing felt random or rushed. You can tell the kitchen actually cares. This isn’t just ā€œnice Japanese foodā€ - it’s thoughtful, confident and seriously delicious. London doesn’t need another restaurant. But it definitely needed this one.

Chloe Betts Incredible first experience here. The whole restaurant is decorated really cool and has lots of things to look at. The menu is extremely extensive. My husband grew up in Zimbabwe & Cape Town and loved how authentic the food was. The starters, mains and desserts were all delicious. The staff were lovely and helpful. Would really recommend a visit, we look forward to returning soon

Simran Sheemar The food was delicious! We tried the lemongrass & coconut cream curry and the slow-braised claypot which both had their own unique flavours. The iced Vietnamese coffee was also a highlight - we had to order it twice. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant

Stewart Murdoch Came as I am a big fan of their sister restaurant. Had the Octopus Doughnuts, Chicken Skins, Wings, Thighs and the 3 Seafood options. Its 1 stick each apart from ghe skins and dougnuts which could be shares. So we split the options based on what we liked and everything was amazing and really happy with our choices. Also had cocktails and they were very good. Service was really good also. No complaints.
