4 /5 Keiran Berry: First time dining at The Hut and I was impressed with the location and atmosphere. Both are top notch. The option of the boat service looked excellent, and the seating and décor matched the relaxed, coastal vibe perfectly.
The food was good overall. The sauces accompanying the steak were excellent and the presentation of the Surf and Turf was great. However, for the price I expected a little more. The steak was slightly chewy, and we were not given a steak knife, which made it harder to cut into smaller pieces. The lobster was very enjoyable and the cocktails were spot on with a great balance of flavor.
One small detail I really appreciated was that I asked for a Coke to be brought out 20 minutes after my first drink, and it arrived exactly as requested which deserves bonus points.
The automatic service charge. It feels impersonal, and asking to have it removed just feels awkward. I know this is a common practice now, not unique to this restaurant, but I am not a fan of the trend.
Bathroom stalls were a little small but well furnished.
