Anoop Thomas My wife and I visited Afrizi for our anniversary after a recommendation from a friend, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food was incredibly flavourful, fresh, and truly touched our souls with its authenticity - you can tell every dish is made with love and tradition. We enjoyed everything we ordered: the perfectly fried plantains, juicy chicken wings, delicious mutton stew with jollof rice, and the chicken stew with jollof rice. Every bite was a delight! To make our celebration extra special, the lovely team surprised us with complimentary puff-puffs topped with biscoff, coconut, and pistachios - such a thoughtful and delicious touch. The staff were warm, polite, and provided exceptional customer service throughout our meal. We also loved their niche selection of beers and ciders, which paired wonderfully with the food. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. Afrizi is truly a hidden gem in Basingstoke, and we can’t wait to return to try even more dishes. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Nigerian cuisine and a wonderful dining experience!

Th33j4y This is clearly a tube not to be missed. The setting and ambience are great. It was really interesting listening to the Chef explaining her background and how her Cuisine came to be. The meal was delightful and subtly spicy. Service was friendly and sufficiently present, while letting you have a peaceful meal. We were four and we all really enjoyed it. Thank you!

I love the seasoning of the chicken, better than morleys and sams chicken shop.chicken was also not super greasy. the chicken skins is super crispy!! I prefer if you guys use less salt though. like 30% less salt please. The burger was cooked to perfection. Buns hot and crispy on the inside, not soggy and wet. well seasoned chicken. chickens wings size are also big compared to other chicken shop like morleys and sams chicken. Also the pricing is amazing compared to other chicken shop. Definitely not overpriced! 10/10 this is my go to chicken shop now. ordered twice from them now. Catherine Street The food was delicious, one of the best roasts I’ve had in a long time. The interior was cosy and they’ve added some tasteful Christmas decorations. Food was a bit slow to arrive, but think that’s because the roasts were so popular. The team recognised this and took off a couple of drinks off the bill which shows great service!

Every dish tasted freshly made and full of depth, from the tender kebabs to the flavourful Chicken Karahi. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, creating a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. You can really tell they take pride in their cooking and hospitality. If you’re craving genuine Pakistani cuisine, Watan is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!
