I’ve been eating Wagamama‘s food longer than the woman claiming to be the manager has been had a job. This was also confirmed by a follow up call from the real manager.
Long story short.
Called asked for no shallots and was met with a rude, aggravated young lady claiming to be the most senior person in charge but she told me she would not ask the chef to remove the onions. Apparently a new policy only if you order with Deliveroo.
To my amusement I looked and Deliveroo in fact have this as an option anyway.
Regardless of requesting this they still left the shallots/onions in the food.
It was soaked in oil and very bad tasting.
I have had contact afterwards and instead of a sincere apology or some way to make it right they seem hellbent in drumming the message about not making a tiny change to a dish unless you order direct and collect. Well why don’t you dump Deliveroo then and why can’t you get your orders right first time.
Also try speaking to your customers with respect, after all we do pay your wages with our purchases.
Really bad experience, I won’t use them again.
Food was disgusting to be frank, not of a Wagamama standard I’ve been custom to.
+10 years client lost in 10 seconds.
Try a different restaurant that value your business and know how to speak to clients with respect.
My business has simply moved to giggling squid who are polite and will accommodate small dietary requirements.
