Zest Restaurant at Hoopers Tunbridge Wells - (Near Kent, london)

John Burdis We were looking for a place to grab a bite and saw this was top rated on Google, so popped inside. Luckily for us they could just squeeze us in and I have to say, we are both grateful for that, as this was an amazing find! First off, the staff were a delight and seeing as the joint owner is Mexican and hes one of the chefs as well. You can tell that his heart is in the place. In total, there were two Mexicans in the kitchen and by God it shows. When people talk about a taste explosion in your mouth, this is it! For a start, the colours are so vivid, its like a piece of art on your plate and once you take one mouthful, BOOM! That explosion happens. We had Chicken taquitos, Prawn, Birria, Pulled Pork, Chicken Guajillo and Steak Tacos. Plus a couple of specials and WOW! The only regret is that we dont live closer but we will return and with friends and next time we will book, as I would not be happy if I missed out on the food.

Desye S Thank you to The Poet for making my 40th birthday an unforgettable experience. We came to have dinner on saturday and only had positive things to say about our evening. Amazing service. As someone with seafood allergies, I felt that the matter was taken really seriously and every dish was presented and explained to me. The staff was meticulous and attentive. The fact that restaurant called me to make sure to know everything about my allergy was already a green flag in my book and a good start. The ambiance was really nice, cosy, and class. We enjoyed every little details. The food was succulent, the portions were good and every dish were packed with flavours. Everything single one of us at the table left satisfied. Compliments to the chefs. Overall I had a really good birthday and will definitely come back.

Jenni Haywood Went for a last-minute lunch here with my 7 year old and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was calm and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Junaed Wahid We were just passing through and stumled upon this gem. It was really good quality, was not expecting much from the usual Turkish dishes but wow, the yogurtlu dish I had was amazing. The meat was cooked really well. Would highly recommend!

Nick K We ordered from MK for many times and forgot to review it. It’s very very very good especially for us. The taste is less sweet and sour as other Chinese takeaway does. This time we ordered Sing Chau fries noodle and duck fried noodles and the all time favorite wasabi fried pawn! The sauce is very nice. If you spend enough (forgot how much) you get free pawn crackers! It’s very a family business and it just good. It provides only take away ( no deliveroo etc) because it wants the food to keep warm.
