1 /5 beemerbby: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Look at my pics. The food was diabolical. Worse Indian food I’ve ever had. The chicken lollypop was disgusting, burnt to a crisp. The chapatis/parathas were ready made frozen ones. Absolutely appalling

5 /5 kev parry: One of the best authentic Indian food takeaways I have ever had. Everything we had was so tasty especially the whole tandoori chicken and beef biryani. Really couldn’t fault anything and the owners are so friendly and welcoming. What I do like is the kitchen is open so you can watch them cook and prepare the food. Very well priced.

Black Pepper Corn is the rare exception—and easily my favourite spot for genuine, close-to-home Indian flavours on the Isle of Wight. Every dish I’ve tried has been delicious, aromatic, and prepared with the kind of care and authenticity you can only recognise if you’ve grown up with these flavours. The spices are beautifully balanced, the dishes are true to their roots, and the overall taste is exactly what you’d expect from a proper Indian meal. It’s comforting, flavourful, and honestly one of the closest experiences to authentic Indian cuisine you’ll find locally. Yummy dishes, great taste, and a team that clearly understands what real Indian food should be—Black Pepper Corn is absolutely worth a visit if you want the real thing.

5 /5 Lakshmi shenoy: Found out about this place just by chance while looking for takeaways around our resort. Google gave me the wrong opening hours but John went out and beyond by agreeing for the order after he had closed and even waited for nearly 15 mins for us to pick it up. What a treat we had - the fish biryani was one of the best we have tasted. Long grain basmati rice with well spiced succulent fish pieces with masala!! (Along with raita, pickle and papad) Wish we could taste more dishes but then it closed the next day (the weekly off). Waiting for our next Isle of Wight visit!!! Thank you John!
