5 /5 Yas T: This is a small amazing place we found in the area. Decent portion fresh fish and chips and cant fault it. Was definitely worth it. Inside has done tables for group bookings etc but gets really busy during the week evening also. Worth a try

Had the Cod & Chips, was definitely under seasoned, fish needs a little salt, it was cooked really well inside, nice and flaky texture but the outside wasn’t crispy, more on the soggy side and the chips were the texture of cardboard, I also tried the fish cakes, I would say hardly any flavor, mainly filled with mashed potatoes, the curry gravy and tartar sauce were delicious, thankfully, so we drenched our food in that, overall I was quite disappointed, this was my last night in London, and was really looking forward to some authentic proper fish and chips, I wanted to love this place but sadly I wouldn’t recommend it, would suggest trying elsewhere.

5 /5 Charis Regalado: The fish and chips I had was delicious! They’re definitely one of my top 10 favourite fish and chips place. I really appreciate the tartar sauce that was given too. The restaurant was lovely, but the only downside was that it was quite small. But hey, that made it feel super cosy and intimate, which was great!

5 /5 Keith Yeo: Got off a 14hr flight and straight to this chippy for lunch after chancing upon a recommendation on social media. Wow! Absolutely delicious and tasty. Portion and quality of ingredients very good for the price.Fish fillets were thick,juicy and perfectly cooked. One of the best batters Ive ever had, a very thin crispy coating and not greasy. Chips were extremely tasty and fluffy too. Ended up ordering 2 portions, a small cod fillet and rock cod, something not readily available in other establishments. Delicious! Highly recommended.

3 /5 T. V.: I’ve been to Fishers several times, and while it remains a reasonably solid option, the overall experience has become more uneven. The fish itself is generally okay, with a nicely cooked batter, but the sides are where things start to fall short. Portions for the starters appear to have become noticeably smaller over time. The chips — both regular and sweet potato — are often on the weaker side: soft rather than crisp, and lacking freshness. On some visits, the oil seems a little tired, which unfortunately comes through in the taste of the chips. It’s also worth noting that curry sauce is not offered with the fish, which feels like a missed opportunity for a classic pairing. While this isn’t a dealbreaker, it does add to the sense that the offering is slightly incomplete. The staff are well coordinated and efficient, and service generally runs smoothly. However, the seating area itself is not particularly inviting. As a takeaway, Fishers likely works very well and explains its popularity, but for dining in — which is my priority — it’s not an especially comfortable or atmospheric place to sit. Overall, an acceptable fish and chips spot with reliable fish, but inconsistent sides and a dining experience that doesn’t quite match the price point or expectations for eating in
