What Clients Are Saying Gaya Korean Restaurant (GG)
5 /5 What you need to know!: Overall:
Food: Korean
First of all ignore all reviews prior to June 2025 as this is when the current owners took over.
A lovely independent, local Korean restaurant which is literally a hidden gem on a side road in Raynes Park and well worthy of a full five stars.
Service is lovely, the food fantastic and really tasty. There are a lot of Korean restaurants in nearby New Malden so plenty of choices but this is a new firm favourite and one well definitely be going back to.

5 /5 J kim: I honestly never thought I’d be able to eat Korean food this good in the UK. It was truly amazing. Every single dish was delicious and made with so much care that I almost got emotional. The place was clean, the staff were incredibly kind, and the food tasted just like home. If you’re really craving authentic Korean food, you have to try this place!
5 /5 Joshua Ahye: Ive been here a few times. The food is exceptional and very traditional of Korean cuisine.
It has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and the service is very attentive and timely.
A fun place to enjoy a meal, especially with the table BBQ!
The prices have risen over the years but its still well worth it!
My only gripe would be you can only buy the house wine by the glass, and other wines are by the bottle. And it is a very small glass..
Anyway, Im looking forward to coming back here and wish the best for all the hardworking staff here! Lets gooo!
5 /5 Daniella Dinardo: Blown away by the quality of food! Service was attentive, warm & friendly!
I cannot wait to come back with a larger group so I can try so many other things on the menu!!
5 /5 James Carter: Excellent Lunch!
We needed to stop for lunch and decided to try something different. The restaurant had started a new lunchtime menu that day with a selection of small dishes. I ordered the selection and my partner ordered chicken katsu from the lunch menu. The selection of food was great along with the taste and service. Its the first time I have been to Raynes Park and will go back again to Gaya for lunch.
Gabrielle Denner Best Chinese takeaway! Have been going here for 3 years now and has always been my go to takeaway. Good food, cheap prices and great service.
Darren A. Smith Popped in to buy a sandwich. The woman behind the counter (scraped back hair) was very polite, welcoming and friendly. Excellent service.
Gulbey Donmez Firstly it was an unbelievable experience, not just with taste but with the pleasantness and kindness i was greeted with. I would highly recommend to anyone who is up for tasting the juiciness of the unveiling kebabs and salads.
Zeke Li Nice little cozy cafe.
Owners are very friendly and will offer you a seat near the radiator on colder mornings if they are available.
Portions are good, I asked to change beans on the full English to some other veg and the boss said he had none, but the menu at least has mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and even spinach, maybe he just wasnt thinking, it was kinda funny xD.
Homemade apple pie with custard was a great way to top off the breakfast!!
Dimitris Giannoulis Matiz is a lovely restaurant serving Latin American food (Ecuador).
Its a nice option if in Greenwich as I often find restaurants there a bit more tourist oriented and of lower quality. Mating differs in that regard!
All the dishes we tried were great, both meat and fish options. Their sangria was very good.
The only thing I would have changed was the portion size of the tapas.
Queston Peel Amazing little place with an amazing choice on the menu, I love to have veggies in every meal, catered to me with perfection... Will always go back when in Shanklin.
