5 /5 Eléa L: What a nice surprise! I would definitely recommend it: the food was really good, the service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed (and quiet). We started with kimchi and takoyaki, then I had bibimbap and my partner had a Yukgaejang. We each had one drink and the bill came to less than £60. I really recommend it!

5 /5 Wei Si: Kuma is a small authentic Japanese restaurant with a large menu and very generous portion sizes. The price is very reasonable and staff are attentive and kind and fast.

5 /5 Sunderland Mat (Sunders ont road): Wandered down to this restaurant as a few other friends went to a burger joint and I just wanted something a little less meaty. It was a long walk but well worth it. As close to a Japanese walk in as I have had. I ate at the bar and ordered a tofu bibimbap. It was a busy little restaurant and enjoyed the whole experience . It was a bustling little restaurant with good food and service. Loved it.

5 /5 Daniel Becque: I can see why this place is highly rated. The food was excellent, portion sizes were large and price is reasonable. They serve both Japanese and Korean food. We only tried the Japanese but the standard was high. Next time will try the Korean
