1 /5 Adam Croft: Weâve been using Lounge India for years, both dining in and ordering frequent takeaways. The quality of the food has nosedived recently, so weâve been using them far less. Tonight, we thought weâd give them one last chance.
My wife pre-ordered the food an hour before they opened, and arrived half an hour after they opened, to collect the food at the agreed time. Almost an hour later, she was still sat waiting for it, constantly being told âfive more minutesâ. She told them we had three young children waiting for their dinner, and the ownerâs response was to give her a bottle of Cobra.
Requests for a discount were refused, with my wife being told by the owner âGo home and eat, you are hungryâ.
Tonight was their last chance, and they wonât be getting another one. Itâs a shame to see how far theyâve fallen. The arrogance of their owner unfortunately only made things worse.
If I were the owner, I would be very concerned about the poor reputation Lounge India has been getting around the village recently, and focusing my efforts on that, not on insulting and belittling loyal customers. Weâve tried too many times to give them the benefit of the doubt. Never again.
