5 /5 Ash Patel: I don’t often write reviews, but this experience genuinely deserved one.
We arrived late one evening absolutely starving, simply hoping to find somewhere serving vegan food — good or bad, we weren’t fussy at that point. Unfortunately, the kitchen had already closed, which was a real blow given how hungry we were.
However, what happened next completely changed the evening.
Both the chef, Jamie, and our host, James, went out of their way to look after us. Despite the kitchen being shut, they made the effort to prepare food rather than turn us away. What could have been a disappointing end to the night turned into one of the best meals I’ve had in recent times.
The food was exceptional — creative, flavourful and beautifully prepared. Hats off to Jamie for his culinary skill and generosity. And special thanks to James, who brought everything together and made us feel genuinely welcome — more like family than customers.
Outstanding service, outstanding food, and a level of care that’s increasingly rare. We’ll absolutely be back.
