5 /5 Connor Langham: The poor reviews of this place are not to be believed. The food is nothing short of exceptional. Meat is tender, sauces extremely flavoursome and the portions plentiful. I live in Brighton and would happily drive to Eastbourne just to eat here.

1 /5 Manu Kaimanikal: On 17-01-2025 I went here with my GF and we ordered palapam and kallappam with Beef curry. Palappam and kallappam were really good. The service was good as well. But the beef curry was ordinary and they charged around 18.99 GBP. The portion was small and the taste was not up to the mark. I have tried food at many Kerala restaurants in the UK, but even at the great restaurants, the prices were never this high. We felt like there was no value for money. Disappointed but because of the money we spent on the dish we cleared the plate. It would be great if the management could come up with a solution that can add value for the money.

5 /5 Mark Sutton: With 7 fresh spices in every dish, the food was served quickly, hot and tasted out of this world. Service was exceptional and the restaurant was spacious, clean and very well laid out. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it here. Highly recommended, 10/10. Ill surely be coming back when next in Eastbourne to try the other dishes. The food has impressed me on each visit. Would be nice if they opened a little later.

1 /5 nithin_ mac: Terrible experience — would not recommend I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place was a huge disappointment from start to finish. First off, the staff was shockingly rude and inattentive. We were left waiting at the entrance for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, and when they finally did, it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. No smiles, no greeting. Once seated, it took another 20 minutes just to get water and place our orders, even though the restaurant was barely half full. The server seemed completely uninterested in helping us, and acted annoyed when we asked questions about the menu. The food? Barely edible. My dish was cold in the middle, over-salted, and looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The main issue we faced during our visit was the extremely poor quality of the food we ordered. Every dish that arrived at our table was a major disappointment. The flavors were completely off — bland, unseasoned, and lacking any real effort or care in preparation. It honestly felt like the food had been thrown together without any attention to taste or presentation. Some items were overcooked to the point of being dry and tough, while others were undercooked and barely warm when they arrived. It was clear that freshness and quality control were not a priority in the kitchen. Overall, the meal was nearly inedible, and far from what you would expect when dining out. We left feeling completely unsatisfied and regretting our decision to eat there. To top it all off, the restroom was dirty and smelled awful — clearly not cleaned regularly. There are so many better places to eat nearby. Save yourself the frustration and skip this one.

5 /5 Adaya Viera: Just stop what you’re doing and plan your visit! Top notch. We’re on a weekend away from London and we were really looking forward to a meal that offered warmth, variety, and flavor. The Malayam Veg Mazhavillu (the Thali) we knew we had to try. We got lucky that they were able to seat two of us right away because the place was quite busy on a Saturday night. Also, for reference it was quite warm inside which was welcome because it was chillier and quite breezy outside. We tried the two non alcoholic drinks, which sadly I don’t remember the names but both were delicious. My partner had pink gin added to his and he loved it. Aside from the Thali we also knew we wanted to try the Masala Dosa. The portion was more than enough for the two of us. The filling was so good! Two surprises with the Thali - it came with soup and dessert! The Palpayasam dessert was interesting. The flavors were good, the vermicelli was a new experience for me in a dessert. The soup is heart warming and soul cleansing in the most delightful way. It reminded me of childhood, and home, and family even though we do not share cultures. The flavors were just spectacular and I can’t wait to try making this on my own but I’ll have to come back here for the real thing. It’s the Rasacharu vegetarian soup. I would come back to Eastbourne just to eat here again. After reading another recent review, I’ll add that the service was top notch. We were greeted, made to feel welcome, and they even checked on us throughout the meal. And when I asked about the soup recipe they came back with the details. It was a great vibe. For us it was a date, for others there you could tell they were groups of family or friends and other couples. It really was a lovely experience!
