5 /5 Tal P: Last night, we had an amazing evening with friends. As always, the atmosphere was fantastic, incredible service and the cuisine was exceptional, providing a one-of-a-kind flavour experience, making it a genuinely worthwhile night out. We hope to return very soon.

1 /5 Richard Rees: We (a family of 5 and a family of 7) were really looking forward to a traditional Chinese for Christmas lunch. We had checked and they said they were open on the 25th. Then this morning they changed their hours to be closed from 3-6… so we waited and tried calling a 6 for dinner. No answer. So we tried on deliveroo, unable. So we got in the car and it was closed. A very disappointing Christmas!

5 /5 Esty x: I had the best time in this restaurant. The food was impeccable, the atmosphere was relaxing and the service was great! Hands down, the best eating experience in Golders Green. The Imperial Hors Doevres is a MUST starter.

5 /5 Amit Fraser: I had the pleasure of dining with my family at the Met Su Yan Golders Green restaurant last week. We had a fantastic experience, and we tried their new menu and unique dishes, and we loved the service. Id highly recommend the restaurant to anyone.

2 /5 Cosmacallan: Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience overall. The food was extremely overpriced for the quality. The meat in particular was not of a standard you would expect at this price point. Our bill came to over £350 for three adults and three children, and one of the adults barely ate anything. Even allowing for the fact that it’s a kosher restaurant, prices like this naturally create an expectation of either excellent food, polished service, or something close to a fine-dining experience. That expectation wasn’t met. The service was especially lacking throughout the meal. Plates and cutlery were not changed between courses. After the starters, we were left with used plates and cutlery and it appeared that we were expected to eat our mains using the same, already dirty, settings. We eventually had to ask for clean plates and cutlery, but this should happen automatically in a restaurant operating at this price level. At the end of the meal, when we asked for a doggy bag for food we hadn’t finished, the waiting staff brought plastic tubs and left them on the table for us to pack ourselves. When I then asked if they could please package the food and bring it back, they proceeded to do it at the table rather than clearing the plates and returning the food properly packed, which is generally standard practice at restaurants charging these prices. I don’t necessarily blame the waiting staff themselves — it felt more like a lack of training and an assumption that diners have low expectations. The overall experience was closer to what you might expect at a budget buffet, despite the premium pricing. Overall, it felt like Mayfair prices with Old Kent Road–level service. Sadly, this is another example of a kosher restaurant offering mediocre food and weak service at very high prices, leaving observant diners with little real choice.
