5 /5 Lauren Kenny: We had an amazing Valentine’s Day meal at The House. It was busy but the service was prompt and friendly still. We were so impressed by the food! The prawn cocktail had a very generous serving of prawns. The star of the show was the beef wellington. It was absolutely amazing and could rival one that I had at Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen last year. I’d definitely recommend here for dinner to anyone visiting Brighton. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit this restaurant all the time.

5 /5 Alan: Visited this place last Sunday for a roast, dog friendly on the outside area, decent roast and value for money in the city centre. Staff were friendly, welcoming, polite and professional, making the whole experience extremely enjoyable.

Nicola was really responsive and helped negotiate all questions and changes. The team on the night were so attentive, they knew exactly what we had all ordered and the service was super smooth. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. We had a wonderful evening and a great booking experience - thank you!

Desserts were on the house because of the wait which was appreciated but not needed. The owner and staff were very nice. Overall Great Value and beautiful food.

The star of the evening was undoubtedly the Beef Wellington fillet – cooked to perfection with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth center and a beautifully crisp pastry. Every bite was a delight. The house fries were a revelation in themselves: golden, crispy, and seasoned just right, paired with a signature sauce that was nothing short of addictive. The quality of the meat was outstanding – fresh, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell this place takes pride in sourcing and preparing their dishes with care and precision. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the overall vibe made for a perfect evening out. I can’t recommend The House enough – truly a gem in Brighton for anyone who appreciates top-tier steak and impeccable dining.
