5 /5 Charlotta S: Lovely local pub and restaurant! Would highly recommend everything we had (see pictures with labels), but the cod fillet was definitely the star main. The food was really great, clearly of high quality and the flavors blended well together. The menu also uses seasonal vegetables and fruits, and is creatively designed so that you can try something you’ve never had before, or they also have classic comfort dishes as well. As you can see from the pictures, the presentation of the food is very inviting too. We had a lovely server as well who was attentive and helpful. We will be coming back!

5 /5 Zuzi: This place has exceeded our exp, to say the least. Cant stop talking about how delicious everything we have had was, from starters, to main course and dessert. We had the cauliflower florets, and yuzu crayfish to start with. As it was a Sunday, we had a pork roast with crackling perfectly done, an aubergine roast (one of us was vegetarian) and the sea bream. They were accompanied by a mixture of vegetables, roast potatoes and we also got the Yorkshire puddings. We were so full that we had only one dessert between the three of us, the mud pie with salted caramel ice cream. I cant recommend it enough for the super tasty food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Well de be back very soon! Thank you Jolly Gardeners!

4 /5 Mezzy: This pub had fantastic live music and a great atmosphere. The service was good, just a little bit slow since it was a busy Sunday. We waited a long time after booking to order and longer to receive our food. The lamb Sunday roast was okay, just had a little bit too much fat. They served us lovely Yorkshire puds and gravy. The vegetarian roast was very small and disappointing, but the butternut squash mash was very nice. They also had no coffee. I did enjoy my old fashioned!

5 /5 David Bailey: Just had Sunday lunch here, from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, the whole experience was fantastic. The staff are friendly and very attentive with nothing being too much trouble. The Sunday lunch was probably the best I have ever had, cooked to perfection, plenty of it, and the flavours were absolutely delicious. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. The staff were more than happy to answer questions about the menu and make great recommendations, which really helped us feel welcomed and relaxed. The atmosphere of the pub strikes a lovely balance between lively and cozy. Its clearly a popular spot with locals, and I can see why. The decor has a nice mix of traditional charm and modern touches, giving it a warm and inviting feel. We sat in the garden area for part of the evening, which was a real bonus—perfect for a summer night. As for the food, it was solid pub fare with a bit of a twist, done well. No fish and chips here, though! I wouldnt say it blew me away, but everything was fresh and well-prepared. The drinks menu was extensive with a good selection of beers, ales, and cocktails. All in all, I’d definitely recommend The Jolly Gardener. With its great service and welcoming vibe, its a place Id be happy to return to.
