5 /5 Harry Cookson: This pub has a pleasant spot in central Oxford by the river, and its reputation for good plant-based and vegetarian food is well-earned.
I am neither vegetarian nor vegan myself, but dishes such as the blue cheese gnocchi, the hummus, the celeriac steak and the sticky toffee pudding made for a very complete menu - and all were hearty and tasty plates.
The cocktails we ordered were also very tasty, and service/atmosphere was good, leading to an overall lovely evening.
The prices sit slightly above the average pub food, but I do think the extra value is quite apparent.
