James Excellent meal at The Fox. The salmon was genuinely lovely. Fresh, well cooked, and not messed about with. Food arrived promptly, which is always appreciated when you’re actually hungry rather than on a lifestyle retreat. Staff were accommodating and attentive without being intrusive. Everything ran smoothly, which sounds basic but is surprisingly rare these days. Good food, efficient service, and a place that understands you don’t need theatrics to do things properly. Worth a stop.

Barry Dodman-Edwards We have just had Christmas dinner there. 2 courses which were really tasty and excellent value for money. In fact, it would be good value in this area if it were twice the price. Tom Pauling October 2024. Just before the pub re opens in November we saw a FB add for the food they will be providing from the gourmet food shack. We had the burger box and it was banging. Not only did it look like the photo it tasted excellent! Shall definitely be going in to the pub come November when they open for sure to sample the beverage to go alongside the burger ❤️

Julie Jacobsen My family and I visited the Cotswolds from the United States back in June 2025, and while I’m a bit late in posting this, the experience was so exceptional I had to share. We were searching for the quintessential English pub experience, and we found it here. We loved it so much we actually returned a second time for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly set this place apart was the hospitality. Guy, the owner, is perhaps the warmest and friendliest person we met on our travels. He took the time to sit with us and chat about our trip, making us feel like locals rather than tourists. If you want authentic charm and a genuine welcome, this is the place to be!
