1 /5 Barbara Ward: Went to The View today with the family. Booked a table for 9 including a Hugh. Hair n pushchair for 4pm for the carvery. Wearrived the table said for 7, with only t seats. We sorted the table ourselves n ordered drinks at the bar. One of the party oredered a Coca Cola, it was flat. We have been previously and was great, however on this occasion it was dismal. We ordered medium roasts, the meat was pre sliced on the carvery, we were each given 2 small slices, the roast potatoes we were served with 2 very small each, Yorkshire pudding which looked inviting but was very stodgy, a small choice or carrots, broccoli in cheese sauce & red cabbage which had the colour boiled out of it. The gravy was salty. Our visit was a disaster from the outset. Sadly when mentioned to staff, they didn’t care. Never mind we won’t be back nor will we recommend anyone which we have previously. It was E100 wasted! I would give it 0 stars if I could.

5 /5 Denise Lofts: Must say that the new bar man Alex is very welcoming. Iv had a couple of bad days recently and he made me feel very welcome and made sure I had everything I needed. Also he asked the chef to make me garlic mayo. I enjoyed my chips more than I would have with out it. Thank you Alex

5 /5 Kate Rose: Really nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. It’s got that proper local feel without being cliquey. The drinks are good, prices are fair, and it’s dog friendly which is a big bonus! Always feels welcoming whether you’re popping in for one or staying a bit longer. Definitely one of my favourite spots

5 /5 Kayleigh Hilton: The carvery was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked meats, crispy roast potatoes, and a great selection of fresh vegetables. Everything tasted homemade and full of flavour. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and as the name suggests, the view is just lovely — a perfect spot to enjoy a Sunday roast with family or friends. Excellent value for money and a really enjoyable meal from start to finish. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back soon! Can’t wait to come in for Xmas day!

4 /5 Clive Whitby: We booked this place for the Christmas dinner. Nice atmosphere, but slightly cold. The food was a carvery, with the option of turkey, gammon, and beef, or all 3. Not the best Christmas dinner Ive ever had, but it was ok. £130 for 2 dinners and 2 Coca-Colas was a bit expensive, but understandable, as the staff were giving up their Christmas day to serve us.
