Albertos - Chipping Norton - Oxfordshire

Rating: 4.8 /5
Andy Howard When you walk in and you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming smile from one of the owners (Claire) who seats you in a perfect spot right next to the kitchen where the co owner & Italian Chef (Val) slaves away making every meal to order using only the freshest ingredients you know you’ve found ‘your place’. Unable to choose what to eat we ask Val to keep us fed and watered and between the two we weren’t let down. We told Claire what our wine tastes were and she brought the most Devine wine! Val then made us a starter, a main and a main, and a main
AND a desert!! Wow wow wow!! (Have the crab pasta!!) Our first night at Alberto’s made us feel welcomed, wanted and part of the team! Did you know Val is also a jeweller?! Does this man’s skills have any boundries?! If only we’d come earlier we could have visited their veg shop just up the street “Plant’d” we will be back!! K&A

Pete Hickey A Wonderful lunch at The Boxing Hare – We’ll Be Back! Tucked away in the idyllic Cotswolds just outside Chipping Norton, The Boxing Hare is the kind of gem that feels like a warm hug from an old friend. From the moment we stepped through the door of this charming stone-built inn, we knew we’d stumbled upon something special. The rustic beams, cozy ambiance, and that inviting garden peeking through the windows set the perfect scene for a family meal out The steaks are some of the best we have had in a long long time

The Lamb Inn - Oxfordshire

Rating: 4.3 /5
Tomás de Vasconcellos We stayed at The Lamb Inn and had a really great time. It’s exactly what you’d hope for when booking a cozy pub stay. We actually had a minor issue with our room right after we arrived, but the staff were so kind and handled it perfectly. Harry, in particular, that checked us in, was super helpful and available, he got us moved to a new room super fast and with absolutely no fuss. The room itself was great, honestly really good for a pub setup. The breakfast was on the simpler side, but it was pretty good. For what you expect from a traditional pub inn, despite a bit pricey, we feel it’s a 5-star experience. Would definitely recommend it!
wyatts garden centre & farm shop

Wyatts Garden Centre & Farm Shop - Oxfordshire

Rating: 4.2 /5
Angelo Serra We happened upon Wyatts completely by accident. Literally by accident as we had a flat tire about 100M away and it was the closest spot to stop. We ended up having lunch in the team room and hung out for a couple of hours while we waited for AA to arrive. The tea room has a beautiful overlook of the countryside and all of the food was excellent. We started with tea service (loved the sugar cubes), and had a wonderful soup and shared some chips. After lunch we wandered the gift shop, made a couple of purchases, and walked throughout the greenhouses. The staff was all very kind during our unintended stay. We enjoyed the flowers and the views of the countryside. I cant think of a better place to have been "stuck" for a few hours.
