5 /5 Sue Lumb: Great place! Very helpful staff, and the downstairs bar was open Saturday. Wow! What a lovely room! This is only open for private hire or events like on Saturday, live music. There are toilet facilities too, so you dont have to go upstairs. We sat indoors when the rain started and still enjoyed the music.
4 /5 Made by Claus: Beautiful architecture, wirh a nice river view.
The staff is friendly, they have a nice terrace outside. Unfortunately we have been there in a day where they didnt have many clients, but the place is lovely, I recommend it for drinks and view as I didnt try the food. One disadvantage is that you have to pay the parking or at least we paid, ask if there are options to avoid paying it.
1 /5 Katrina Evans: There are nicer pubs to visit at better value
Whilst standing at the bar we notice a Tesco whoosh delivery it was obvious the 2 bags contained bottles of wine. We actually saw the staff unpack the bags. I was dismayed the pub charge £23 a bottle of wine that was bought from Tesco for £6.25. I know pubs can purchase their alcohol from wherever they like but dont flaunt it infront of your customers its arrogant!
They had a private function downstairs and i can only assume they ran out of white wine. Of course get bottles delivered from a supermarket but sell the bottles less £23 espesically if the bottle only cost £6. Its bad practice. We left soon after wed much prefer to spend our money on a genuine public house not rip off merchants like this pub i have warned others not to bother going here its not worth the money.
5 /5 Matt: What a beautiful pub. This is a great find away from the town, just opposite Fort Amherst and overlooking the river Medway. This pub was renovated just over a year ago and still looks as good now as it did at the re-opening. Food is very good and the drinks selection is really impressive. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Most impressive of all is how much they love dogs. They even have a full dog menu of treats and bowl food for them.
Precious Oghenovo Our regular spot for The tastiest ISI-Ewu! Honestly 10/10 and more! Highly recommended and great service. Very clean and calm environment to eat in!
Nina G Very friendly and welcoming owner, he made all food fresh and very flavoursome, would highly recommend the sea bass. Lovely service and took good care of us all, and the kids..
Madeline McQueen Food tastes gorgeous as always. Its a small stall in Chatham so not as many options as the one in Maidstone, but its good for what they have and the vegan food are so delicious.
Matthew Bodycombe I dropped in here for lunch today for the first time. I had the vegetarian Chana Daal. It was tasty and well cooked and I was given a choice about how hot I wanted the dish. The meal was good value at £13 with a side salad and drink and the chap there gave me a fresh Naan bread for free. There are two guys there. I dealt with the younger one who was very welcoming. Quite a few people eating there from the local Pakistani community which shows the food is authentic and not like your usual Indian restaurant. I’ll go in again for sure.
Emily Bruguier Great food. Lovely and fresh. Great quality and lovely people. We’ve been coming for 12 years and every time we come we know it’s going to be spot on. Thank you to candy for taking care of us when we come lovely lady!
