The Punter - Oxfordshire

Rating: 4.5 /5
GJTJ A true gem in Oxford. Stumbled across the Punter as it was close to our hotel and we have been amazed by the place the food and the team. Even if you are not vegetarian/vegan you need to try this exquisite cuisine, turning classics into a new discovery for your palate. Special shout out to the scotch egg and the goats cheese arancino (we went back for a second serving as they were so good). The team was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We recommend highly The Punter. We will be back on our next trip to Oxford!

john Coccia Easy like a Sunday Morning Came for breakfast with friends. Friendly atmosphere, plenty of tables, good menu with delicious options. Cappuccino was delicious. Had the porridge, a gooey cinnamon bun, and banana bread. We came owing to the claim that’s it’s britains 2nd best brunch as reported in the Times. Certainly lives us to it and worth a visit. 5⭐️

Restaurant 66A at Cotswold Lodge Hotel - Oxfordshire

Rating: 4.2 /5
Jason Lum After a morning of lecture and some punting, the final step of the Oxford experience is high tea time! I did not stay in the hotel but this review is for the restaurant and bar area of the hotel. My group had a table near the window with a great view in the middle afternoon. We came from California and the weather came with us because it was quite lovely without a cloud in the sky. We started with presecco before tea as a celebration. Preseco is sparkling wine but we cannot call it champagne or we might make the French mad as our server explained. Normally this was a traditional for graduation but considering our Oxford Global business program was ending it was time to celebrate. We ordered 6 orders of High tea for I people but it was way too much food. Considering we havent eating lunch this was a late lunch or dinner. The scones are the best! Sweet butter and jam in a scone is divine. Im not going to say amazing because I am resisting the urge. The scones hands down beat any butter milk southern biscuit I have had in America. This was shocking considering most English food in my opinion lack flavor and spice. Everything is mostly bread, basic entree and some form of dessert. Personally I prefer focus on the main course with dessert and bread optional. The high tea spread was mostly finger food sandwiches and dessert items. The tea and scones were my favorite part. Just lounging and having a great time with friends made for a great time. I will try again. This location was very affordable and will not break the bank. Cheers!

The Lavender Restaurant at Weston Manor Hotel -

Rating: 4.2 /5
sushant tiwari Review for Lavender Restaurant It’s the main restaurant at the Weston Manor and is based in the ground floor overlooking the beautiful manicured lawns and gardens of the Manor House. It’s got a terrace outside as well which was closed when we visited but looks like a nice place for a drink before the dinner ( in summers ). The food was delicious and we tried the scallops / Ham as starters and steak / pasta for mains. All the dishes were well made and of good quality and standard. The steak with peppercorns sauce was tender and juicy. The pesto pasta was very tasty too. The pricing is on par for any good restaurant or a gastro pub in Cotswolds. Meal for 2 can be easily 200 depending on how many drinks you have. The tiramisu was an interesting version of the original Italian version, it was ok but that was the only thing which in my opinion can be made better or maybe go for the classic style. The service was good too. It’s a small cosy restaurant. Verdict 5/5 Meal for 2 is easily 180-200 with a couple of glasses of wine Please follow me on @s50ush for more foodie content and tips
