5 /5 Syd Eats: Consistently outstanding battered fish. Perfectly cooked, fresh produce and light crunchy batter - every single time. Its a lovely family run restaurant you can always rely on. Choose from large, medium or small cod all priced accordingly. FYI the batter is NOT dairy-free. The chips are very English - more like chunky deep fried potato bits than the sort you get in a restaurant (do not expect the more fries style thick, tripple cooked, processed and way crispy sort). The prices are very reasonable. Sorry I didnt take a pic of the food but it was so good I forgot about photos and just ate it!

1 /5 Dre: Reaaaaally tragic that this is the highest rated chippy in Whitstable. I think these guys write their own reviews. We’ve tried 3-4 different places on our trip, this was absolutely the worst. The fish and chips were probably the worst I’ve had in my life. More of a fish schnitzel than an authentic chippy.

1 /5 Christoph Smith: Worst fish and chips Ive ever had! I went on a Saturday after work to treat myself and wish I hadnt. Fish and chips these days are expensive so you expect quality and this is far from what I got. The chips where over cooked on the outside, soggy and half of them were nearly raw inside. The fish was edible but the batter fell off as it wasnt cooked enough. I know it was busy but to give that to a paying customer is embarrassing. Infact whitstable is a seaside town so you should expect a good fish and chip restaurant and unfortunately in this town there isnt. Poor!

5 /5 Tracy OConor: Haddock and chips was lovely. Freshly cooked light crispy batter, soft tender fish. Scampi batter not quite as good but fairly ok. Lovely staff and service. Nice and clean.

5 /5 John King: We have visited here 3 times. This is always our first stop after getting of the ferry on our annual family trip to UK from Germany. Im British so I really miss my fish and chips. We honestly drive 20 miles out of our way to go here. The first 2 visits there was a table at the back wall and they allowed us to use it to eat rather than at our hotel. This visit we were pleased to see they installed tables and chairs with table service. Everything was very good. I had the jumbo fish of course and it was freshly cooked to perfection. The staff are also super friendly. Park behind the chippy on the tesco express car park because I used that too.
