Sandeep Nair Had a wonderful dinner get-together with colleagues at Vanji Restaurant, Pempury. Loved the ambience, delicious food, and especially the quick service. The team was extremely warm and friendly—special mention to Chef Binoy, Reshma, and Sujith for their hospitality. Must-try dishes are the duck curry and Avoli Polichadu. Highly recommended for authentic South Indian food!

eef heer The food was really quite good. A non-Brit might say awesome. There was clearly some beautiful indigenous influences in the decor, which we appreciated very much. We would definitely recommend the Koma Chaulafan and the seafood rice in coconut sauce. Lovely homemade smoothies and ice cream.

Travel. Eat. Live. More. We went to Granero Lounge in Ruislip for a Sunday night dinner. We had a great experience as usual. The atmosphere in the evening is a lively and friendly atmosphere. The decor is brilliant too. The candles on the tables add a cosy and romantic element to the atmosphere. The service was great too. As always the staff are super friendly and the food came out quickly! The gluten free menu is huge with loads of choices of food. I had the gluten free Louisiana Fried Chicken with chips, coleslaw and a maple bbq sauce. The Louisiana Fried Chicken Tenders were delicious. I love the texture of the coating and the chicken was delicious and tender. The chips are nice too, again they tasted delicious and had a nice texture. The coleslaw was fresh, creamy and tasty. I liked the flavour of the Maple BBQ sauce. Portions were reasonable as well. My Lemonade was tasty and fresh too. Again for a small size of Lemonade the portion was reasonable. This is the perfect place in Ruislip to get good quality food at not ridiculously expensive prices and a place that you can count on to serve the food quickly, that has welcoming and friendly service and a chilled atmosphere. Also the location is ideal in the middle of Ruislip High Street not too far from Ruislip train and bus station. It is not too far from Ruislip Lido and Heathrow Airport. Tony Fox I ordered three portions of cod and chips this evening, and it was the best takeaway fish and chips I’ve had in years. The fish was beautiful and the chips were amazing. Unfortunately I am very rarely in Finchley, but next time I’m here I will definitely get my fish and chips from the Mermaid.

Philippa Ford Yum! Lunch Bento box with tofu, teriyaki salmon and seaweed salad was just delicious. It was the servers recommendation. Well priced too.

Michael H I think this is the best fish & chips I had in my life! I had the Haddock fish & chips and it was served fresh out of the kitchen. Both the fish and chips were crispy and the haddock was perfectly cooked as well. The staff were kind and welcoming and we had a nice chat at the end of my meal. If you’re near Greenwich, definitely check out Golden chippy!
