Anna Sharp I recently organised an event for 45 people. Lisa & the team were brilliant nothing was too much trouble. The lunch buffet was really tasty and enjoyed by all. Some of us stayed overnight, the rooms were spotlessly clean coupled with very comfy beds. Breakfast the next day was equally as good as the buffet. Thank you so much Lisa, the two Lukes, Tabitha & her colleague.

Star Nold So a standard kebab type shop.. a little snack after a drink.. Chips with garlic mayonnaise.. what was not to like.

Jenny B This is a creative, welcoming restaurant with a talented chef. I visited Whitstable with two good friends and visiting 39 (or Laurens as I prefer to call it) was one of our highlights. Whitstable is already a place worth celebrating for its pretty scenery, clear blue sea and independent shops, and this place was a hidden gem - though not so hidden as we found it through good Google reviews! We were very kindly welcomed by Fairlie and Roy and enjoyed the cocktails, with Head Chef Laurens Lemon Drop being the winner! The food was a delicious fusion of flavours! We found that five of the small plates shared by three of us was filling enough that we didnt ask for a desert. I would recommend giving 39/Laurens a try for its food, creative gallery feel and friendly ambience and if Roy is there he will happily tell you about the local area so do ask him!

Ctn Pkt I had the time to go on Saturday. I ordered XXL-size oysters. They were very delicious, fresh, and clean. I ordered takeaway cause I wanna walk around the market but it turned out that after trying one, I ate it all without knowing it. Haha. The restaurants atmosphere is good, and the surroundings are lively. Most of the people come as family. There is also alcohol and other foods inside.

Sona Sethi Best Thai ever and catered for mum who doesn’t have peanuts and me and who’s gluten intolerant and I would always go back to have their tasty food, they can modify anything and they are super helpful when it comes to wanting more or less chilli - amazing service and just a genuinely lovely place! The food was absolutely exceptional – rich, authentic flavours, beautifully presented, and quite honestly some of the best Italian food we’ve had in a long time. Every bite was a delight and you can really taste the quality and care that goes into each dish. The service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome and well looked after throughout our visit. Nothing felt rushed, and nothing was too much trouble – just perfect hospitality. The atmosphere was relaxed, cosy, and full of charm, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. This is the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. An absolute gem of a restaurant – we cannot wait to return and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for exceptional Italian food and first-class service.
