1 /5 Emad Ahmed: I visited yesterday for the Iftar buffet. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and I’ll give credit where it’s due the dessert section was good. However, the main issue was the food. Most of the dishes were cold and lacked flavor. The meat curry, in particular, was disappointing it was mostly bones with very little actual meat. For £26.99 per person, the quality simply doesn’t match the price. Later that night, all three of us who dined there experienced stomach problems, which was very concerning. The seating arrangement was also uncomfortable. It felt overcrowded, and we were required to share a table with other guests, which made the experience even less enjoyable. Overall, it felt like the place lives off social media hype rather than food quality. Decoration alone isn’t enough the focus should really be on serving fresh, hot, well-prepared food. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.

4 /5 Travel & Food: Had a great Iftar at Royal Mahal, excellent food. Plenty of options, spice level was good and accomodating to all. The service was impeccable, they were constantly checking up on us, they cleaned the tables regularly. They offered us drinks and they made us feel very well accommodated. Definitely value for money as it was only £27 and it was unlimited from starters to mains desserts and chai. The only one critique I had was the pani puris, I would have liked them to have imli pani as I didn’t find them that tasteful. Overall, great Iftar. Also found it very hygienic and aesthetic , loved the Ramadan decor. ✨

5 /5 Jayne Perkins: Wow, stopped on the way back from London, 10.99 set meal, my chicken korma was melt in the mout and full of flavour, as was hubbys Balti, the tikka was a tad hotter than Im used to but the abundance of sauces allowed me to cool it down. The whole meal was a taste bud explosion. The nan was hot and fluffy, the pilua rice had layers of delicate flavours. The service was impeccable without being overpowering. I highly recommend this restaurant. And although its Sunday lunch time and full of small children the atmosphere was buzzing. We will defo be back, ( our local curry houses could learn a lot from you) thank you

3 /5 Nas A: Went there for the Iftar buffet. There was a good selection of items for the buffet and all items tasted fresh although taste wise some were hit and miss, especially the kebabs. They didn’t have the individualised tastes I was expecting and all tasted too similar. Saying that, it wasn’t bad. It was busy for Iftar and had a great atmosphere and the servers were very attentive. My feedback would be to let customers access the food a little earlier than 10mins before breaking fast. This would avoid standing in the huge queues and allow customers to be seated when the time came to break their fasts. Also, the banqueting hall has no windows and not sure if the air con was working, making it quite warm and stuffy with so many customers in the hall.
