5 /5 K Luke (kolu): Edit: I have to remove my original review. This place isnt of any historical significance and it in fact was never any encampment ever. It is just a rumour, a folks tale. It is a quite nice local field dominated by a golf course and thats all. Move on folks, the forest next to it is far nice place to walk through.

2 /5 Jamie Gould: Only really a plaque to mark the spot, which is sad. The rest is a golf course. I hoped there may be the remainder of a fort mound. Still, it is a nice walk on a clear day there from Wimbledon or Putney.
