4 /5 D Shares: Despite reading some low-star reviews, I still wanted to give this place a try since it’s new in town. Unfortunately, the negative reviews weren’t wrong.
Many people have called this spot “a taste of Dhaka” or “a taste of Bangladesh,” but let’s be real it’s not. But it’s also not the kind of food you’d easily find in London either, which gives it some uniqueness from the regular Indian or Pakistani kabab or grills.
The food tastes decent, but it’s far from authentic Dhakaiya style. Anyone familiar with the real taste of kabab, chaap, tandoori, or Dhaka-style grilled items will understand the difference.
Customer service definitely needs improvement. There was only one person working on the floor, and he seemed overwhelmed — mixing up orders between tables and forgetting items. At least two people should be managing the floor.
About 40% of the menu was unavailable when we visited around 9 PM. Even the tea was finished by then. The space is also quite small, so be prepared to wait for a seat.
