Ashkadeh - (Near Barnet, South East)

Jamil Ahmed I asked a friend to recommend an authentic Turkish restaurant and this place in Enfield came highly recommended. After driving an hour to try it, I can honestly say it was well worth the journey. The food was absolutely superb – from the perfectly cooked meats and chicken to the flavourful vegetable dishes. The staff were welcoming and very family-friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be making regular trips back.

I used to come here all the time during my term studying abroad and living in Ponders End. 30 years later I finally made it back for a visit; and although Mary is no longer working - the staff and food are as excellent as I remember. So happy I came back for both a visit and their excellent food. Will definitely return again on my next visit to London. Thanks for the great conversation and the delicious chips!!!

Sali Mizani Excellent salad! Falafel was good. Pita was very soft and the bread tasted fresh. Haloumi was deep fried which is not my preference but tasted good. Generous portions.

Victoria Moores If you haven’t been here yet, try it. I had a lovely experience at Tonka this afternoon. From the moment I arrived, I felt seen and at home (as a solo diner, I really appreciated the corner table, rather than being seated in the centre of the restaurant). San and the team were great, and the food was superb. I’ve already booked again for next week. Please support this local small business; they’re doing a great job of offering unique and creative food in a comfortable cosy setting, with superb service.

Mohsen Heirani I recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded all my expectations. I particularly enjoyed their rice with lamb neck, it was cooked to perfection. Another dish that I highly recommend is Kashk Badenjun, it had a wonderful depth of flavor. I would definitely suggest giving this place a try if youre looking for a fantastic meal.
