mike smith 2 We arranged for our FB group to have a Xmas dinner (I think it around 30+ of us) and they were outstanding. Their food was unbelievable (half a chicken each with veg !!), cooked to perfection, they couldn’t do enough for us, they was worried they might not be able to get all the food out at the same time ? But they did, and the organisation was incredible. I can 100% recommend the beautiful pub, we will most definitely be back. Well done to all that sorted it out, with all the pubs we use for our walks/meets, this is in our top 2…. And we do visit lots of pubs/restaurants.

SUSAN BELCHER Today 11th Feb 2026 Zest resturant after the funeral of my Husband, laid on a splendid spread for 20 people, waited on us all kept the food coming all afternoon as well as making sure we were topped up with tea and coffee other drinks being available at the counter.I would recomend them to all. Desye S Thank you to The Poet for making my 40th birthday an unforgettable experience. We came to have dinner on saturday and only had positive things to say about our evening. Amazing service. As someone with seafood allergies, I felt that the matter was taken really seriously and every dish was presented and explained to me. The staff was meticulous and attentive. The fact that restaurant called me to make sure to know everything about my allergy was already a green flag in my book and a good start. The ambiance was really nice, cosy, and class. We enjoyed every little details. The food was succulent, the portions were good and every dish were packed with flavours. Everything single one of us at the table left satisfied. Compliments to the chefs. Overall I had a really good birthday and will definitely come back.

Tom Jackson So we went together on probably one of the busiest nights of the year. Big groups of people huge orders and me and my wife off to one side. Despite the demand the service was top notch. The food portion size was massive! We ordered for two and it could easily have fed 4. The food was excellent and the staff boxed up the leftovers for us. A great experience on what no doubt was a very busy night for the staff.

M L Went to Bills for a brunch last Saturday with my friend for my birthday. Had a lovely time with our server Maddie who made it such a comfortable time and was really accommodating for my dog as well by getting her a water bowl. We were they for her two hours and never felt rushed with anything. Everyone around loved the dog and Maddie made such a fuss of her too as well as the other staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will go back.
