Chilis Indian & Indo Chinese Restaurant - (Near Berkshire, South East)

H L-J Ive been eating at Afghan Flavours, Reading for circa 18 months now. I was introduced by my sisters friend and have kept coming back on my own, with a my sister or in small groups. Its very reliable, tasty, fresh and hot food. Family friendly. Very reasonably priced for the quality and freshness. You can see the kitchen from the counter too. Other reviews mentioning service speed need to show some patience. Freshly cooked and prepared food takes time and this is an increasingly popular establishment. I would describe as cafe style eating. Whether its the Channa Daal, Houmous, halloumi, chicken byriani, Qabuli chicken/lamb, chicken/lamb charsi karahi, Afghan style red kidney beans, Chaplin kebab paties, chicken or lamb or mixed tikka or lamb kofta - I recommend all. For drinks would recommend mint or green tea (loose tea) or mango lassi (glass or jug) or a fresh juice. I prefer to eat in, but take away is also available. A friendly and hardworking team. E K I love this place. Today I ordered bibimbap with one topping (chicken BBQ). The employees are very friendly, and the food is good at an affordable price! I always go to this Korean restaurant when I visit Reading. I really wish it would open one near where I live.

Charlotte Bramanis What an amazing addition to Broad Street vendors. Figured Id give this a go instead of an overpriced pre-heated dessert from the restaurant I was at, and so glad I did. The waffle on a stick was A-MAZE-ING. Well worth the money! I spoke to the owner while our fresh waffles were being made; theyve only been there a couple of weeks and still getting organised, that being said, the small waffle selection at the moment is worth going to try! Crepes and other snacks coming soon!

Sandie-Roy Gastardo Me and a few co-workers decided to have lunch here together. Its always a good experience to cook some Korean bbq and this place didnt disappoint. The meat was seasoned well so it tasted great. There isnt much space in their restaurant, but their staff was quite helpful with making space for everything we ordered.

Lilian Annis I heard cafe yolk was a popular student cafe that I had to try at some point during uni and it was worth it. Although there was a line outside of the cafe, we were seated fast and had a few options on where to sit. The menu had a lot of option and the service was friendly and fast. The food was very flavourful, however, the matcha was quite bland so I would try other drinks- the mocha looked lovely and it had writing in the foam. I would definitely come here again (the herby potatoes were sooo yum!).
