Colombo Food Station - (Near Redbridge, South East)

5 /5 Nadia: Got an an Uber eats delivery from Colombo Food Station and it was great. We got the chicken with rice and three veg, a fish cutlet and the mutton kottu. The portions were very generous and the flavour of everything was great and had a nice level of spice. Id definitely order from them again.

5 /5 Samie Khan: I got 3 mutton rolls and chai, and they are AMAZING!!! Such good value and they taste just perfect! The owner is incredibly friendly and also recommended what dishes I could try next time. I will definitely try and come soon again inshaAllah for their famous dish. Perfect snack to grab after Jummah prayer.

1 /5 Heerthiga Winston: I visited this restaurant after seeing a review on TikTok by @tastybitswithv and had fairly high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience did not match what was shown in the video. The area itself felt unclean. The seating wasn’t properly cleaned, flies were noticeable, and the kitchen door was left open, so you could see and hear constant noise from inside. The food trays were also not arranged neatly, which added to the overall untidy impression. The staff experience didn’t help either. The person at the till came across as quite rude and unfriendly. We ordered chicken rolls to eat in and three chicken lamprais for takeaway. The chicken rolls were especially disappointing. The filling was mostly plain potato, with no noticeable onions or spices, and each roll contained only a single small piece of chicken. It was hard to understand how this could be acceptable from a food business perspective. The lamprais was slightly better, but still underwhelming. The curries lacked flavour and felt dry. While it wasn’t as bad as the chicken rolls, it was far from enjoyable. Overall, the visit was disappointing and did not reflect the experience promoted online.

5 /5 Shahidul Hoque: Colombo Food Station is hands down one of the best Sri Lankan restaurants in London, and absolutely the place to go for the best Colombo Kothu in the city. The flavours are spot-on—authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced—just like the Kothu you’d get back in Colombo. Beyond the Kothu, they offer a wide variety of Sri Lankan dishes, from fragrant curries to street-food favourites, all prepared with real attention to detail. What I love most is that everything is very budget-friendly, especially considering the generous portions and high quality of the food. You genuinely get incredible value for money. The staff here are friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which makes every visit feel warm and enjoyable. Whether you’re a Sri Lankan food lover or trying it for the first time, Colombo Food Station is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

5 /5 Joshie deCoteau: A++ food with lovely staff! You have to wait about 15 minutes for your takeaway order but the food is piping hot and delicious. There are some people that have noted at the meat is too boney, however the paratha more than make up for it as you simply dip it in the sauce. Only real downside is parking on Ilford Lane (if youre not a local resident) its pretty poor and irritating, especially with all of the Just Eat and Deliveroo mopeds that decide to take up good spaces, but that goes for any shop along the lane now.
