Brian Wu What an intimate hidden gem in the Westminster area. The pasta portions were generous and the sauce was cooked just right. The employees were very friendly, too.

Zoe Hadzipasic Lovely tasty food and a great atmosphere. This was our first time eating Bulgarian food and we were not disappointed. The staff are friendly and attentive. We were given 2 tasty complimentary desserts before we left which we were so grateful for. We will be back very soon.

BARKIN DURLA We came across this Turkish kebab restaurant in Croydon and were genuinely impressed. The meat was very fresh and full of flavour, and the portions were generous. Considering London prices, the food is very reasonably priced and definitely worth the money. At first we thought it might not be very busy, but it actually had a good amount of customers and the service was quick. Overall, great taste and excellent value for money — highly recommended.

Rhonda Williams We went for New years Eve and it was a great decision. The set menu was filled with enticing choices. We started with a gin based aperitif which was included. Very nice. Then there was an amazing amuse bouche, followed by a delightful selection of starters. I had an outstanding lamb dish. A mid course beetroot cake with house made fruit ketchup was a perfectset up for our main courses. I hade grilled Tiger Shrimp which was out of this world. There was naan, raita and dhal for the table. Finally I finished with a chocolate ganache accompanied by a lime basil sorbet that I will try to reproduce at home. The service was never rushed, and was impeccable. There was also a small jazz band with a great singer playing all evening. We ended with a glass of sparkling wine each before heading home after midnight. A thoroughly enjoyable evening! It was pricy when wine and beer and a tip were added.

Dominiki Nikolopoulou As a Greek living in London, Gea is by far my favourite Greek restaurant. I’ve already dined there twice, and I still can’t get over their tirokafteri (spicy feta dip) — one of the best I’ve ever tasted! Another thing that really stands out is the generous portion sizes, something you don’t usually find in London. The space is very cozy, and the soft Greek music in the background makes you feel right at home, especially if you’re Greek. But the best part came at the end of our meal. When they gave us the dessert menu, I spotted a dessert my grandmother used to make. I couldn’t believe it, and I couldn’t wait to try it. Not only was it absolutely delicious, but it tasted exactly the way she used to make it. That moment truly touched me and made me feel closer to home than I have in a long time. We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, and it was lovely to see such a warm, family-run business. My only small feedback would be that, even though the service was very warm, it does need a bit of improvement in terms of interaction, and to offer a slightly larger portion of bread, especially for a cuisine where bread plays such an important role. Overall, I highly recommend Gea if you enjoy good, authentic and of course Greek food. I can’t wait for my parents to visit London so I can take them back to Gea for another amazing experience!!
