Gardeners Retreat - (Near East Sussex, South East)

1 /5 taher ebrahim: I live nearby so have come many times. The garden centre itself is pretty good and a great place to bring kids as it has a less intimidating soft play area. Thr cafe itself is pretty awful. The food will take a long time to arrive the the quality is pretty average. The worst part is the customer service which is oftentimes rude. They ask you if you have allergies immediately instead of waiting for the customer saying they have any allergies. Dont expect a smile with the service. That said the ambience is lovely and area is great. Shame about the staff.

5 /5 Matthew Burdett: The food is good quality at an affordable price. The full English breakfast was cooked near perfect. Bacon was a bit dry but otherwise fantastic for £6.99. Coffee is nearing overpriced at £3 for a latte.

2 /5 Brenda Miles: What a shame. When visiting the restaurant you are asked if you have any allergies. The staff will not serve you unless you answer. If you had an allergy your common sense would be to ask. I dont feel I should give my personal health details to get a coffee.
