5 /5 Julian Tipler: Had the pleasure of celebrating a big birthday here. It was an incredible meal. Brisket and jalapeño croquettes and charred corn with siracha mayo was amazing to start. But the best to come was the bavette. Such an under rated cut but cooked perfectly its delicious. And oh my …….cooked to perfection in front of us over charcoal. One of the best steaks I have eaten and that’s a lot. The pictures of the food speak for itself but I would definitely recommend the place and will definitely visit again when back in Brighton. Thanks for making it a memorable night !!

Booked a reservation for our anniversary on valentine’s day and just dropped by an hour early to check if there was any availability and they were kind enough to get us seats. We got a sirloin and ribeye at well done temperatures, and a steak sandwich with a side of fries and some drinks. Amazing service. A tad bit pricey but totally worth it cause of the delicious food. Great for a date night/celebration, but I’d recommend going on a weekday when there’s less crowd + their lunch deal is on. Was a bit noisy but the food and service made up for it. Very kind staff

5 /5 ABHIJOY CHAKLADAR: I think the best streak in Brighton. Weve been four times, waited to review, great each time. Really well priced and amazing steaks. Friendly, knowledgeable, service. A London chain had opened up nearby. In London, theyre a no brainer. In Brighton, go local and independent. Open kitchen, the counter seats are fun, the chefs serve you if youre sat there. Nice wine list. Well priced by the glass.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive, friendly and genuinely professional throughout the evening. The House Bavette with Chimichurri was cooked beautifully — tender and full of flavour. I chose to accompany it with a fresh side salad and skinny fries, which complemented the dish perfectly. Dessert was the hot pecan brownie with chocolate fudge sauce and vanilla ice cream — rich, warm and absolutely delicious. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, and the restaurant provided the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable evening. Highly recommended. I ordered the House Bavette with Chimichurri sauce, side salad, and skinny fries — everything arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and full of flavour, beautifully complemented by the vibrant Chimichurri. Even the salad and fries were exceptional. The table setting, complete with a candle, created a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and professional — some of the best I’ve encountered. For food and service of this quality, the bill was a pleasant surprise. Kindling is truly a team that delivers excellence.
