Lucky Lychee at The Green Man Winchester - (Near , South East)

4 /5 Adam Cohen: Set in a very unassuming pub just outside of town. I would say it is a hidden gem but judging but the amount of clientele, not just the local punters but dinners, it is no more a secret! Not suprising really , the food is a delicate mix of Malay and Western cuisine. From chicken stuff with local sausage meets, to the different curries. Everything tastes unique, fresh and authenticity different to any else we had tasted before. Being a pub, it can get very noisy and detracts from being a restaurant to truly enjoying the food. Service was very pleasant and friendly. Definitely one to visit when in Winchester.

4 /5 Ajay Parekh: Great pub with a Malaysian kitchen. 5 adults, 1 child, had a mix of all the dishes. The veggies dishes were mild and tasty, nothing exceptional but nice pub, service. Sunday lunch.

4 /5 heatherlouiseking: For me, this place doesn’t live up to the hype. It felt like when you go to a restaurant in an incredible location, the view makes up for what else is missing. The food was very good but served on cheap plates and over priced. The portions were small and felt like they weren’t finished before being sent out. The staff were fine. Surprisingly few veggie options and lack of imagination for alternatives (I had the salad which is usually served with pork scratchings and there was no alternative offered). The paneer bao were excellent. I’d love this place to thrive but I’d like to see more care and flare. Photo of my cheesecake.
