Rebecca Maxwell Fantastic venue for a cosy birthday meal for two. The food was amazing, staff were very friendly. We never felt rushed. Unfortunately they forgot one of our dishes and our wine order but sorted it without any drama when we told them. Highly recommended. Worth booking as its small and obviously popular. The dishes are packed with strong, complex flavours and generous use of Sichuan peppercorns, so expect that classic numbing spice. Portions are generous, pricing is fair, and the menu offers a good mix for both spice lovers and those who prefer milder options. If you’re after proper Sichuan food in London, this place is highly recommended.

The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, the food was exceptional, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. DOMIAN, who served us, truly made the evening memorable. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about the menu. He explained each dish with such detail and enthusiasm that I genuinely wanted to try everything. His recommendations were spot-on, and his approach felt professional yet personal, the kind of service that makes you feel genuinely welcomed rather than rushed. It’s rare to meet someone who combines expertise, passion, and genuine care for guests the way Damian does. His service elevated the entire dining experience. I will definitely be coming back and recommending Mestizo to others.

Mohamed Isk I came here in Ramadan for their buffet with my wife and child. The shop and seating aesthetic is very very nice. Each day the food is set and you dont really get a menu to choose from. The food is very well presented. The starters were amazing, especially the soup. The mains was maqlouba (rice, aubergine, minced meat, with nuts) which tasted really good. yabraq and dessert were okay. The price was £30pp which is really good compared to others! would defo come here again.

Maryam Sunday afternoon - boyyy the wait was long… but SO worth it! Gentleman at the door handled everything with such a controlled and calm demeanour. Staff inside were very nice and pleasant. BUT THE FOOD! The food hit the spot! Perfectly seasoned and flavours were so good! Im not usually this impressed. The food came out quick too. Would highly recommend getting the halloumi fries. Coffees were also spot on! My first proper brunch since moving to London and I’m so glad it was here. Well done to the owners and management. Will definitely be returning InshaAllah
