5 /5 Matthew Phillips: Absolutely impressed by the freshness and flavor of the fish here! Its already my neighborhood favorite with the generous cuts and reasonable prices. Happened to order a box set and a few extra slices of sashimi, you can really see the quality in the marbling of the salmon and the redness of the tuna.

5 /5 Mark van der Giezen: Hadnt written a review in a while but this small, cosy and lovely restaurant forced me to write one again. So happy we found this place! We ordered gyoza and could hear them being fried behind the counter and they tasted as good as they looked. We were hungry so went for a fried rice bowl and the eel was delicious. Very friendly and warm staff. Most definitely a recommendation!

5 /5 Noi Rotstein: Came here for lunch on a saturday without a booking and got a table without having to wait. The food was delicious, especially the pressed sushi thing. Honestly Ive never had sushi like that before and i loved it. We also had a nice coffee after. Definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner!

5 /5 Samuel Turner: Extremely good value. Some of the best sushi I’ve had at this price point outside of Japan. Service was incredibly kind. We were a small group of 3 who ordered a bento box among other things. They threw in a couple complimentary teas and extra nigiri so that we could have one each in the combo. After our first round we unexpectedly had to get more because it was so tasty. Super calm space with cute decor.

5 /5 Lxo Cohen: The food here was so delicious we had to come back twice in one day. The seared salmon donburi is just incredible and every piece of rice packs flavour that you don’t need to eat quickly. The interiors have gorgeous psychedelic swirls, tiles, iron cups for serving tea, the auntie of the house really looks after this place and makes you feel like you’re entering her home. Genuinely felt like I was in Samurai Gourmet eating here! Friendly, local, honest, nothing fancy but oh so delicious!
