Metro Italia Ruislip - (Near Hillingdon, South East)

2 /5 Audrey Fernandes: Table decor was cute and festive. Waitress not friendly and never smiled. 2 of us dined. I ordered the Carbonara. No flavour - literally tasted like a hot bowl of cream with other ingredients dropped in it. Made with ordinary bacon - didn’t expect Guanciale - but at least pancetta? Other order was a Margarita Pizza which was average. Very disappointing meal - glad it was the lunch 2 for 1 menu and I didn’t pay full price for that. I could accept that from a non-Italian cafe/restaurant but to get that from an Italian place? Sad. I’m not Italian or even a great cook but even I can cook a better, tastier carbonara. So disappointing I will not be going back to Metro Italiana even with their 2 for 1 menu. Will try the other Italian places around Ruislip instead.

5 /5 mal g: I first visited metro Italia last week with a friend, after initially walking past and noticing the delicious smell! We both got the spinach and ricotta tortellini and it was truly delicious. The pasta is fresh and handmade, and the sauce was so so moreish. We didn’t realise that we actually came during lunch time and got a 2 for 1 deal, amazing! We were expecting to pay in full since we enjoyed the meal so much, so the half price deal added to our enjoyment! Since we went last week, we planned our next dinner for the yesterday and went straight back to metro italia, trying a different pasta this time. We got a fusilli and lasagna, and both were just as delicious as our first time here. It such a hidden little gem, with wonderful ambience and servers who are always so pleasant and happy to help! We will definitely be coming back, our new favourite restaurant in Ruislip ❤️

5 /5 Diogo Cruz: You can never go wrong here! One of the most consistent Italian places you can eat at. Great for either dinner or lunch, Ive enjoyed both. This is now turning into my regular. Book a table to secure your place as they do get busy, understandable with how good they are!
