Saj LL (Lui) Best Indian takeaway in Southampton! Awesome customer service, they remember their regulars and treat them well. They are food for the soul. They have good amount of meat from their curries and biryanis. I love their Royal chicken chili biryani and the chef special mix masala. The naans are so good as well. All of these for very reasonable price. These type of businesses need to be looked after and be supported for a long time. I look forward to trying more from menu. Update: food whipped by the owner Dilan is still good! Owner is always awesome and gives good recommendations for curry. Never missed a beat every time we order. All orders are cooked fresh. Anna Howes Absolutely delicious steak cooked to perfection. Amazing sides too, especially the mash. Our waiter (the italian guy) was also lovely.

Imogen Bramhill Flavourful ramen broth, soft but not overcooked egg noodles. Though the fried tofu was no longer crispy in the soup, it absorbed the flavours and juices making it very tasty. All the toppings (bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, pickled ginger) mixed and added to the dish, and the tonkotsu ramen had pork juices in the soup, with the chashu pork slices melting in your mouth. Affordable price so good value for money, pretty fast service and plenty of seating considering the small space (looks more like a takeaway than a restaurant), will definitely be returning here!

Arash Dashtkar I visited Haida to try Iranian sandwiches, and the menu is full of great Iranian sandwich options. I ordered the Kotlet Shirazi, and it was absolutely lovely — definitely recommended. The service was super friendly and made the experience even better. A great spot for authentic Iranian sandwiches. I’ll be back for sure!

Ade B Another superb visit to The Chequers, Marlow. We went there to celebrate a birthday and from previous visits, knew the food was going to be fantastic. Our expectations weren’t disappointed; the steak was cooked to perfection and the treat of a birthday cake was most welcome. The setting is beautiful and the staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. Caiti ensured our meal service was excellent. We will definitely go back and wholeheartedly recommend this place for its location, service and quality of food.
