Monsoon Indian Restaurant - Indian - (Near Lewisham, South East)

5 /5 Charles smith: Visited this restaurant last night with a friend, was very impressed with everything. The service was excellent as was the food service, the staff were very friendly and price. I’d go as far to say I’ve never had better service in any restaurant I’ve visited. I was particularly impressed when a fellow customer came in with a child and how well they looked after them both, they seemed to be regular customers so that again adds to this being a great establishment.

5 /5 mario vaz: Been using this restaurant for over 20 years. Never a bad meal. Always been welcomed by the owner Arif and his staff. Been even celebrating family birthdays with about 12 people a few times. Food and drinks all good. Always offered a complimentary drink liqueur after the meal.

5 /5 Mrs H: We absolutely recommend and love Monsoon Indian restaurant on Brownhill Road Catford London. The food is always sooo delicious, lots of choices and amazing value! All the quality food is beautifully prepared and cooked by their chef, there since the last 17 years. All run and served by the kindest gentlemen in this pristine and very pleasant atmosphere gem of a restaurant. Good wines, beers and soft drinks etc to choose from. Also very popular for online orders, but we prefer to have our cosy treat at the restaurant…you cannot be disappointed.

2 /5 Alex Sayer: So the man was lovely upon greeting us. White table cloths , heater etc. The poppadoms were nice. Very. Then it sort of took a bit of turn for let’s say, the worst. The naan was uncooked inside and Mike DID specify a thin one. This wasn’t. My paratha was waaayy too greasy. There was no veg in the curry at all. It was just a slop. Unsophisticated in flavour. Didn’t look appealing. But the worst was Mikes which although yes a passanda should be sweet. This was ridiculous in fact it was foul. He couldn’t eat it. We told them but they never took it away. In the end, still hungry, he ordered lamb chop. Sadly this was suspected to have been frozen then microwaved and then cooked in the sauce because it was totally tough and if you look at the poor man’s finger after trying to cut it… anyway I got my gnashers round the finer bits and it was tough I have to say. Anyway then the boss came back and told the waiter to sort it and he did we had the passanda and the naan taken off the bill but only after a quibble. They did however offer us free drink but we don’t drink so had a coffee and a couple of chocolates Mike said it was the worst meal he’s ever had. I could barely contain myself. We actually had quite a fun night but no the food wasn’t great that night. The place looked good though and the staff were helpful. Although the waiter did say “you should know your food” to Mike who was left flabbergasted and I nearly fell off my chair
