Mother Hubbard’s Streatham - (Near Lambeth, South East)

3 /5 Larisa: My first time dining at the famous Mother Hubbard. The fish was drenched in old oil,when Ive asked if is always like this,the indian chef from the back shouted,because is cooked in oil! Even after using condiments the food was just rancid oil... Expensive and bad food! Never again

5 /5 comicbookguy1: Absolutely delicious fish and chips from mother Hubbard’s Streatham. I got the special fish (which was gigantic by the way!! ) with chips and curry sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection. A thick piece of haddock fish and some of the flakiest fish Ive ever eaten. Each morsel of fish just broke off effortlessly. The batter was nice and crispy and not at all greasy. The chips were fantastic and made fresh to order. I ordered the standard curry sauce, which was nice, however when the kind gentleman brought over the spicy curry sauce to try, I was blown away. The standard curry sauce tasted nice, however the spicy curry sauce had a really nice depth of flavour and complimented the fish and chips very well. I also got a sausage which was again, very tasty. Everything here is halal. For those interested, I think the owner mentioned he would be getting hmc certificated very soon. The service is fantastic. The owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly and there is plenty of seating available. I would highly recommend checking this place out. This was honestly the best fish and chips Ive had and will be paying a visit very soon with friends and family.

5 /5 Halal Hunted: One of the best HALAL Fish & Chips one has recently tried in London.. Fish Bites were amazing light and crispy. The other I usually go to is, The SeaShell of Lisson Grove.. Halal too.

5 /5 Mehvish Perveen: Really impressive with mother hubbards streatham. The food was 10/10 and the service was super fast. The staff made us feel very welcome, and whole place has a lovely vibes. Highly recommend if youre in the area.
