Pitted Olive Cafe Restaurant - (Near Camden, South East)

5 /5 Ameera Shafique: Pitted Olive has been our go-to spot for years now. We first happened to come across it a few years ago and ever since, it’s become our ritual stop before catching a flight — it’s so conveniently close to King’s Cross and the perfect way to start a holiday. This review is definitely overdue, especially considering how often we come here, but honestly every single visit has been superb. I almost always order the beef moussaka lunch, which comes with bulgur rice and mezze — so, so good. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and because it’s already prepared and kept warm, it comes out super quickly (ideal when you’re on a bit of a time crunch). My only tiny moan (and it really is tiny) is that the refillable water glasses are on the smaller side — we drink a lot of water with our food, so we found ourselves taking turns getting refills. But honestly, that’s hardly a dealbreaker. Consistently great food, quick service, and a reliable favourite. We’ll keep coming back!!

5 /5 P W: This place is just ridiculously good Turkish food. Freshly prepared. Incredible taste. Fair price. It can get crowded and there’s not much indoor seating, but go anyway and do a takeaway if you must. Well worth any wait. The Gozleme (stuffed flatbread) are freshly prepared on a grill for you to watch. They offer various flavors, including a spinach feta, a potato onion, a lamb and a vegan. All with Incredible flavor. Stuffed phyllo pastry borek is another option. Also, various mezze offerings as well as more hearty offerings such as rotisserie chicken and moussaka. The service is quite cheerful even during the stressful lunch hours and you feel sort of like you are dining in your friend’s kitchen. Just a wonderful spot.

5 /5 S Shaima (Searchwithin): This place did not disappoint, incredible fragrances, and aroma of all the fresh ingredients they use just hits you the second you walk through the door my friend and I tried several items for breakfast and they were all amazing. The service was friendly and fast and their coffee was also wonderful. I got me a cappuccino and my friend got a mocha and we were rather impressed. It was really very flavorful with a nice balance between thethe milk, the froth and the strength of the coffee highly recommend the place.

5 /5 Ashraqat Shams: Such a hidden gem to be honest. The food is great especially the turkish breakfast, the portion and price are reasonable with a variety of flavours on the dish. Its halal as well so thats a great bonus! Coffee and tea were good as well. The space is tight but wasn’t an issue for us, could be an issue if for example you have a stroller though or something similar. Overall, we enjoyed our brunch and will surely be back!

3 /5 Bubu: I was really looking forward to the Turkish dish menemen, so I decided to visit around 11:00. Unfortunately, they didn’t have Turkish tea, even though it’s listed on the menu, and the börek was also no longer available. It took a while for our food to arrive, but after taking a bite of my dish, I discovered a long black hair in it. I informed a staff member, and my dish was taken away. In the end, I decided to eat from my companion’s dish instead, as a replacement would have taken too long. When paying, the staff asked if everything had been enjoyable, but it seemed she wasn’t aware of the hair in my food. She had to confirm with someone else whether the item should be removed from the bill. No apology was offered. Disappointing. Next time, I’ll probably go somewhere else for Turkish food.
