5 /5 Juanida Adhiambo: The service was extremely good. In other African restaurants the wait time is always very long but I was attended to almost instantly and received my food shortly after, which was very fresh. I ordered the jollof rice, plantain and stewed beef. The jollof rice was a perfect mix of flavour and spice. The plantain was very sweet and the stew was full of flavour. The new staff member Daniel was extremely attentive and very friendly, which enhanced my experience overall. I would definitely recommend visiting with friends of family.

2 /5 Tee: The food was good, however the service could have been much better. I hosted a party here and was effectively pushed into having a buffet for my guests, even though that wasn’t what I wanted or originally agreed. I was charged £25 per child instead of the £8 agreed. Although I was later offered a refund for the difference, I was then ghosted and the refund never materialised. On the day, a lady I believe may have been one of the owners was visibly rationing food, particularly the fish. Staff were also telling children off for playing with plastic cups, which felt unnecessary given it was a family event. The food came out over an hour late, which disrupted the flow of the event. I was also told I could provide a playlist for my day — something we spent hours putting together — but the DJ ignored it and played a random selection instead. Overall, there appeared to be poor communication between the owners and staff, and on what was meant to be a special day, it felt like cost-cutting took priority over customer experience. Verdict: The food was good, yes. But would I host an event here again? No. There is significant work needed in how events are organised, and unfortunately, I did not feel I received value for money.

1 /5 Melly Monae: We booked Planet 224 for my mum’s engagement dinner and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. We were seated at 8:30pm, and our food had been pre-ordered before arrival, yet the restaurant was completely unprepared. We were not informed in advance that certain meals were unavailable. Food came out in random intervals: • 3 people ate at 9:00pm • 3 more at 10:00pm • Another 3 at 10:30pm • The rest didn’t eat until 10:45pm Two meals never arrived at all. This was supposed to be a special celebration, but instead guests were sitting for hours watching others eat. We also ordered 13 cocktails — only 3 arrived. When we asked for the bill, it took 30 minutes to be finalised. During this process, the manager physically slapped my partner’s hand away, which was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the manager then added an extra £200 to the bill, bringing it to £750, when the correct total was £455. The service was disorganised, unprofessional, and frankly shocking. The lack of planning, poor communication, incorrect billing, and aggressive behaviour from management ruined what should have been a joyful evening. Do not waste your money. Do not waste your time. We deeply regret choosing this venue and would strongly advise others to go elsewhere.

4 /5 L M: We had a work party and want to especially thank Soul T for making it a fantastic experience for all of us. He was always accessible on phone and quick to respond to the organisation of the event and made sure everything ran well. Great food and great music. Shout out to Soul from us!
